FAQ:

How long will it take to complete the course?

It really depends! On average, it will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete the course once around. However, some adventurers need more time to overcome their fears, and we have had some adventurers take 45 minutes or longer. This can cause delays on the course as well (which is fine by us, as we're there to help!).

Usually, if an adventurer is younger, it will take them longer to complete the course. The older they get, the more agile they are, and the more they are aware of how to maneuver obstacles with their body - the easier the course will be.

If someone is scared of heights, it will take them longer. It is very tough to say how long it will take someone to complete the course. You just have to come try the challenge for yourself!

How long is the course?

The pirates only had limited space to work with when they built the course, but they still built a thrilling course with 6 obstacles, and a 76' zipline. It traverses the perimeter of our Caribbean port, starting at our castle, along the beach, the pirate ship, skull waterfall, and along the village to round out your adventure.

What pulley/support system does this course have? Do adventurers need to detach from the lifeline at any point?

Our course is equipped with SafeRoller pulleys that roll along our lifeline the entire length of the course. They never need to detach from one obstacle to the next, and are always secured to the lifeline from beginning to end. It is one of the safest and most intuitive systems out there. They are also secured with a harness, and their pulley is attached to them with a locking carabiner that can only be unlocked by key.

We have taken every measure to make sure this is the safest course it can be. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to ask us.

Does a ropes course guide accompany my child along the course?

Normally, we let adventurers do the course by themselves and do not accompany them the whole way. We are always there to help if they get stuck or scared.

I am a parent/guardian of a young child (5-6 years old) who wants to try the course. Do I need to go with them?

No matter your age, or your child's age, we encourage families to do this course together if possible. It helps children overcome their fears, gives them encouragement, and provides a fun family memory as well!

It is strongly recommended that children from the ages of 5 to 6 be accompanied by an adult, especially if they're small for their age. If a child has a known fear of heights, we recommend an adult going with them as well. Once a child has shown that they are capable of doing the course once, they do not need to be accompanied on future turns.

I am a parent/guardian, and I am unable to accompany my child. Can a ropes course guide help them through the course?

Under certain circumstances, we can. Please come early in the morning so we can best accommodate your child.

Can we split an unlimited hour between two children? Such that one child does a half hour, and the other does a half hour? Or one adult accompanies the children during part of the unlimited hour, and another does the other part of the hour?

Unlimited hours are non-transferable. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Who is this course operated by?

The course is owned and operated by Safari, with training to our staff provided by The Trekking Group, which is the company who built and co-designed the course, and operates Arbre en Arbre & Arbraska locations across Quebec & Ontario.
